Grounded in the style on trombonist Kid Ory, the On The Levee Jazz Band features a lineup of powerhouse players that represent the best of today's traditional jazz scene.

The OTL Jazz Band is a recreation of Kid Ory's band during the middle and later stages of his career. They focus on the simplicity of Kid Ory’s trombone style, coupled with the light swing of the rhythm section, well-thought-out routines, “in-the- pocket” tempos, a varied repertoire, and a smart use of dynamics. 

The band revels in danceable music from a traditional repertoire that includes stomps, rags, marches, blues and vintage popular songs.
