SHAKE ‘EM UP JAZZ BAND

Formed in the summer of 2016, Shake ‘Em Up Jazz Band is a six-piece, New Orleans-based band whose style largely encompasses genres from New Orleans style jazz to swing. Originally a pickup band comprised of working jazz musicians brought together for a Girls Rock New Orleans performance, the band immediately garnered positive attention (and gigs), influencing its members to keep the personal and musical chemistry rolling.

Three years, three albums and three international tours later, the band continues to expand their repertoire and musicality, their popularity at home in New Orleans — where they have performed at Preservation Hall, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and French Quarter Fest, among others — as well as their national and international notoriety.
